as the ‘Oldenburger Münsterland’.
Experience nature the active way! Let yourself be carried away to the recreation area ‘Thülsfelder Talsperre’, one of the most beautiful areas in the Northwest of Germany. You will see a wide, skerry-like seascape and a heath landscape with rare plants and animals which is around the only barrage in North-West-Germany. Forests and protected fens invite you to go on a discovery tour, whether you go by bike on 3000 km signposted bicycle routes, walk through the natural golf park or actually go to the high-wire forest adventure course.

| Only 20 km away you will find the recreation area ‘Hasetal’. You can explore the idyllic Hasetal by bike, canoe or by the historical railway. Furthermore, a ride on the handcar promises to be a very special adventure. |

The recreation area ‚Dammer Berge’ also comes up with a lot of recreational opportunities. How about a sailing trip on the Dümmer See or a ride out into the hills?

Our holiday farm is located between two district towns, which of course are also worth going to and of which you will enthuse for a long time. Cloppenburg has got a nice pedestrian area, an indoor/ outdoor swimming bath with a big waterslide and the unique open-air museum of historic houses. In Vechta you can visit the historical ‘Museum im Zeughaus’.

In the immediate vicinity you can experience heathen history. Come to see the “Visbeker bride”, which is a well-preserved megalithic tomb, the “Pestruper cemetery” or visit the nature reserve “Goldenstedter Moor”. There are offered interesting exhibitions throughout the whole year.

An annual highlight in North Germany is the Stoppelmarkt. Every year more than half a million guests surge to Vechta in the second week of August and party extensive. For further information refer towww.stoppelmarkt.net.
Apart from the nearby „Ahlhorner fishponds“ (picture to the right), also the North Sea, which is about 100 km away, and the Hanseatic city Bremen with its landmarks are places of popular resort. Please feel free to visit the adjacent links – you will be enthusiastic.
